the past century we have witnessed incredible advances in our
knowledge of science and technology. Yet for all these advances
millions upon millions of people worldwide continue to suffer from
starvation, homelessness, and oppression. We continue to release toxic
chemicals into our air, water, and land although we know we cannot
survive without the elements they provide us with. Too many people seem
intent on enhancing what they see as their position among men and their
personal lifestyles at the expense of the rest of mankind. Is it just me
or is there something wrong with this picture?
savethehumanrace.org is an open dialogue dedicated to developing ideas and strategies for social and economic reform.
This is not to say that there is nothing good
occurring in the world. In fact there are many wonderful people and
organizations out there dedicated to helping others and protecting the
ecosystem that we depend on for survival. And its not that people are
necessarily aware that the actions they take may result in causing
great distress to others. Or that anyone recognizes the possible long
term effects on the environment produced through new technologies.
Perhaps the concern here is not that there are
people who are unaware or fail to recognize these consequences, but that
there are too many people who either don't care or don't feel as if
they have any ability or power to change the situation. If man is ever
to realize his full potential and that of his creations, then his
societies and his concepts of economics will need to evolve along a
higher level of ethics.
The challenge is to see past all the political and
corporate agendas, and promote the basic needs and respect all people
deserve for a healthy and fulfilling life. This is not a task for a
single individual to dictate, but a monumental effort to bring people
of every background and culture together via the internet to help
create the future we all deserve today. The more of us that are
involved in this effort, the more significant the results that are
produced will be.
To that end, we open this site to anyone and
everyone to bring forth their concerns, ideas, and strategies they feel
need addressing in creating a world filled with peace and abundance for
all. If all you wish to do is complain, degrade, and lay blame, please
take some time to reconsider and find a more constructive way to
express your concerns. There are many problems in the world, but it is
not our place to lay blame, merely to find solutions.
Send your comments, concerns, ideas, and hopefully solutions through our Feedback Form
long as they contain nothing hateful, destructive, or violent in them;
and we will relay them to the rest of cyberspace through our Forum Page
link. The intelligence, creativity, and innovative capacities of the
great wealth of common people that exist on this planet far exceeds that
of any government or corporation ever conceived of. And the only
outside influences we have to take into account are our families and friends and
their well being.
In addition, we present a page of Site Links, from our
own research and your suggestions, of sites that are compatible to
creating a better world for all. And last but not least we present the opening section to The Art of Survival, an alternative way of looking at economics that expresses our own concepts which led to the creation of this website.
"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
nothing is going to get better. It's not." - Dr. Seuss
